REWIND...

So I guess I need to rewind and let all of you know what have I been up to lately.

A bunch of things. Let me give you the short and simple version.

• In May I was let go from the hotel I was working at in Santa Clara! I got booted out for someone with tenure when the parent company sold 16 hotels (not the one I was currently working at) -Woo Hoo - no more commuting from San Bruno to Santa Clara!
• Sam and I drove to New Mexico towards the end of May to see what job opportunities were out there for him. I guess it was bad timing cuz not much came of it job-wise. We had a great time though. I had never been there before. I have lots of pictures!
• My brother got married in Oklahoma in July. He and his bride, Jennifer are happily living in Denver, CO.
• I'd been looking for work on and off for all of the time I was un-employed. I started temping at a company called France Telecom in SSF. That lasted about 8 days because...
• I was hired for a job I had interviewed for and was really excited about. The offer was one I could not refuse. The company I now work for is located in Burlingame. I love that it is less than 5 minutes from my house, especially with the cost of gas these days. ($3.17/gallon on San Bruno Avenue-ouch!) Anyway, I've been at Epitomics (Biotech that sells antibodies for research) for about 2 weeks now. I am a customer service representative. This job is so different from anything I've done in the past. It is much more laid back and I find it challenging to be in a new environment.
