We headed off to the baseball game, but we had already missed the train to get to the park, so we ended up driving, struggling to find parking and finally getting to the game around the 2nd inning. It was a beautiful day. The sun was out and it got pretty hot for a bit. The game was pretty uneventful. It was still a good time.

Later on in the evening, Sam and I met my parents at Chevy's for dinner. Yes, they did that birthday thing to me with the Sombrero. Here is the photo to prove it.
It was an interesting night after dinner. We left the restaurant around 8:15 or so and we headed to my parents house to play some cards and hang out a bit. On the way to Pacifica, Sam's car decided it didn't want to work anymore. We pulled off of Highway 1 at Paloma, stopped in front of Winters Bar next to the gas station. We called AAA and my parents. We finally got to Pacifica around 11pm, after my parents getting my car for me from my house, waiting for the tow truck, going to drop the car off at the Acura dealer.
When we got to the house, my mom had a bunch of bon bons spelled out in my name with candles. Need a visual?
Anyway. It was so cool because I had been wanting a digital camera for my birthday, and that is what I got. Sam, my parents, Jay and Jennifer pitched in to get me a very nice digital camera complete with all appropriate accessories. I was so excited and happy. There will be a lot more photos in my blog now. Yay! Sam is happy that I won't be stealing his camera from him all the time. Thank you everyone!
Later on that night we stopped by Katie O'Grady's going away party. She leaves on Tuesday for a 4 month trek in Europe. She is going to go travel around, sounds so cool. We are hoping to meet up with her sometime when we are in Italy. We'll see if it works out. Anyway, the party was cool, it was nice to see everyone, and meet new people too.
The highlight of the evening was that this guy Chris, tried to smash cake icing on Katie's face, but missed and tripped over the fire pit, knocking it over, and falling right into it, butt first. Luckily, no one was hurt, but in reality it was the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
Got home late, crashed out and slept late. Sam, James and I hung out for a bit this afternoon. I took them both to Moss Beach, said hello to everyone at Sam's. Sam's parents had a gift for me. It was a beautiful hand dipped/carved candle with seashells and a dragonfly on the side. They bought it in Hawaii. I love it!
All in all the birthday weekend was very fun, adventurous and mysterious. A great time. Certainly one to remember.
