Pumpkin Epidemic

What is the deal? I am not impressed with pumpkins this year! There must be a pumpkin epidemic of sorts. Sam and I bought pumpkins 2 weekends ago, and one of the big ones rotted right there at my house.

And ya know those cute little ones? the ones that will last until March if ya keep them around that long? They still seem like they'd last a few more months, but ya just don't really want to wait to find out, cuz it seems kind of wrong?

Yeah like that one. Well I bought a couple of them at Albertson's, and Sam bought me some from there too. I kept a few at home and brought some to work. I have had to throw all of them away, they are getting moldy and oozing and ick! Oh I just had a thought, maybe they ARE last year's left over mini pumpkins! I've never had any of them go bad so quickly.

On Wednesday morning, as we got our first peek at the rain, I was pulling into a parking spot at work. I noticed something orange in the garbage can. I saw that whatever it was, it was smiling at me. It was a pumpkin! Who would throw a pumpkin away? It isn't even Halloween yet! So as I got out of my car and headed toward the doors, I took a closer look. It was a pumpkin that someone had used a sharpie to draw a jack o lantern face on, and up toward the top, was a moldy area! Hence the Pumpkin Epidemic. What is Halloween if the pumpkins don't even make it that long? Is this only happening around me? Poor Pumpkins.
